Product Warranty

This warranty is limited to products purchased from Gold Coast Shower Screens on or after 1/6/2024.

By purchasing products from Gold Coast Shower Screens, the purchaser agrees to the warranty terms.

1. Warranty Period

Gold Coast Shower Screens extends to the original consumer the following warranty period:

1.1 Shower Screens – 1 Year

1.2 Wardrobe Doors* – 1 Year

1.3 Splashbacks* – 1 Year

1.4 Mirrors – 1 Year

1.5 Led Mirrors – 1 Year

1.6 All other non specified products – 1 year

* The mirror component (where applicable) to Wardrobe Door and Splashbacks are warranted under the Mirror term.

2. Warranties

GCSS extends to the original consumer the following warranty period:

2.1 GCSS warrants that products purchased directly from them are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the period of this warranty from date of purchase.

2.2 GCSS will replace at its discretion and after inspection by its representative, during the warranty period, any part or finish that proves defective in material and/or workmanship under normal residential installation, use and service.

2.3 Should it be necessary for GCSS to send a representative on site to inspect warranty claims, QSS reserves the right to charge for such service should it be deemed not to be a warranty related issue.

2.4 Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) from the original consumer purchaser must be made available for all warranty claims.

2.5 Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict or limit your rights applicable by law.

3. Maintenance

Proper care of your quality bathroom products should ensure many years of trouble-free operation.

3.1 Some water supplies may contain high deposits of lime and calcium, which can build up on surfaces. It is necessary to regularly clean all glass and frame surfaces regularly.

3.2 Glass surfaces should be squeegeed to remove water before it dries on the surface to minimise calcium and lime scale build up over time.

3.3 Electroplated and powder coated surfaces should be regularly cleaned with a damp soft cloth. Mild liquid detergent or soap and water can also be used.

3.4 Periodic lubrication of rollers hinges and pivots will assist with trouble free operation. Vaseline, Motor oil, Sewing Machine Oil, CRC or even olive oil are all suitable lubricants.

3.5 Some areas such as beachside suburbs have a high airborne salt concentration. Regular cleaning of surfaces is essential to prevent corrosion.

4. Important precautions

4.1 Do not use cleaning agents containing acid, bleach, ammonia or scouring agents such as cream cleaners; and.

4.2 Do not use abrasive scouring pads for cleaning.

4.3 Water in some parts of Australia may contain higher than usual PH or mineral contents. Do not allow water to maintain a prolonged contact with product surfaces; and.

4.4 Wipe down after each use.

5. Exclusions

5.1 Normal wear and tear, include the degradation over time of the relevant product when used as directed and for residential use.

5.2 Leaking over time due to the degradation of silicone sealant is not covered under this warranty.

5.3 Where GCSS are not the product installer we hold no liability for the installation of the product or where incorrect installation has resulted in any warranty claim.

5.4 This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, alterations, misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, calcium or lime deposits, mould, rust stain, corrosion and surface pitting due to exposure to salty air or corrosive materials, colour change that takes place with the passage of time or use in any manner contrary standard residential use.

5.5 To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, and subject to any express written agreement, GCSS will not be liable for labour costs, third party goods replacement costs or damages claims of any kind, incidental or consequential incurred during or subsequent to installation, repair, or replacement, as well as any other kind of loss or damage caused by defective products.

6. Voided Warranties

A warranty will be void if:

6.1 the product is not cared for and maintained in accordance with the instructions contained within this document;

6.2 the product is altered in any way;

6.3 the product is used in any way other than residential use; or

6.4 any damage to the product occurs as a result of misuse, abuse, or neglect.

6.5 Your failure to comply with any of the instructions contained within the specific product installation details or this document will void the relevant warranty.
